i think it really depends on what you are after....if you like
small town, christchurch is good, but it can be boring. after 5,
it's like a deserted town. i have visited the christchurch
polytech, it's a pretty cool place.

i used to like auckland but there are too many chinese/asian
there now. plus the `hilly' that is mentioned is quite `siong' to
walk or cycle. however, the uni is in the heart of town, so
convenience it there.

however, if you intend to work after graduating there, i reckon
australia is best. sydney/melbourne offer lots more job
opportunity.

PSC has a list of overseas uni that they recognised if you are
thinking in terms of coming back to Singapore to work after your
overseas study. NZ is a nice country to visit.

Canterbury''s rugby does not rock. THE BLUE are way better! haha
^^ ok i am bias

Um... i thought of studying foundation at palmerston north. It's
kinda near wellington but still in the North Island. And then after
foundation i can go to auckland uni cause that's the best uni in
newzealand and you know.. the cert is the most important thing
also! (:

Canterbury or Christchurch can be visited during
holidays/roaptrips etcetc!

yup. here the bus system is extremely good. not to mention
biking lanes all over town to the suburbs. study will be better.
But i cant say much about the party scene here. =S

Canterbury's better place to study..

Things there is slightly cheaper compared with Aussie..

I've been out of touch with Christchurch already.. but if things
haven't really changed, parking is still free at most places
outside town area. There were a lot of 5 min, 1 hour, 2 hour free
carpark around town if i recall correctly.

In aussie, most carparks are not free, esp in town.

Plus, the currency is lower than Aussie..

If u really wanna concentrate studies. Feeling adventurous and
dont mind living in a small city with pretty much most things. Then
u should go NZ. I know if i got US or AUS.. MELB.. i will
be.. lol..

anyways , in future i believe i will be visiting alot of the
other big cities , so chances of experiencing NZ life is slimmer.
South Island. =P Canterbury has the best weather and scenic.
Plus the cantebury rugby team kicks @ss. he he

Hi, i was wondering, which nation NZL or Aussie is a better
nation to study in. In terms of the people, culture &
educational insitutions. For aussie, i'm looking at Melbourne and
for NZL i'm looking at Auckland. Anyone who has been/studied there
before, please give some advice. (:
