    • Hi,

      Need advice from excel experts:

If I have calculated the slope which is m from the following example data:

      x y
      1 5
      2 7
      3 8

Now I want to use the gradient from the above set to plot a chart which I have only the starting point now :

      x y
      1 6
      2 ?
      3 ?

Please advise how can I calculate and plot for the ? in x 2 and 3?

      thanks.

ok i manage to solve it.

why not? y=mx+b and m = slope, you need to find the b and m, in this case you can use excel to find out the m using linear.

    • i learn that y=mx+c in skool, where m is the gradient and C is they intercept on the y axis Laughing

But your graph is not linear. I drew out the graph, the line is a crooked. Rolling Eyes
