      hi, don't know why my pc suddenly become like this.

      i cant access IE. it will say 'unable to view the page error' or something like that...

      i can ping the website, my router, my default gateway.. and my ip is correct..

      when i try to login to my msn, it will have the key port error.

      i have scanned my pc for virus and spyware and found some minor spyware and 1 trojan horse. i removed it and rebooted my pc.

      conclusion, i cant access the net although i can ping the website.

      any1 can help?

      Which ISP proxy did you use? You aren't supposed to use other ISP's proxy except the ISP you signed up with, otherwise, you will be locked out.

      Also, Microsoft isn't very automatic on such issues.

      Open Command Prompt, type in ipconfig /flushdns. Close Command Prompt.

      im using singnet. ipconfig /flushdns << still not working..

      btw, when i refresh the IE error page, the status bar show something like c:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoc.dll\dnserror.htm

      Proxy address: proxy.singnet.com.sg
      Port Number: 8080

      u mean go to tools>internet options>connections>lan setting>proxy server? i set it and still not working..Sad

      btw last time i din set anithing..

      Last time you didn't set anything, is your internet connections working?

      yah.. last time din set anithing <<< also cannot work. Sad

      nvm.. i think my pc kana some virus or what.. gonna format it..
