    • Usually through advertisements.

For Facebook, it's now earning money because Microsoft and Google are fighting to buy it. Laughing

I have no idea. Google and Microsoft have been in a buying frenzy lately. Perhaps the buying of other companies/websites caused their stock prices to increase.

No la, not so much de. It's measured in CPM and it ranges from a few cents to $1+. For example, the one in sgForums (managed by sgImpact) are around $0.03/CPM.

    • They earn money from advertising. Advertising is more successful with

targeted advertising, as the companies can choose the demographics of the

users they want to show the ads to. Quite cost effective alternative to

advertising on tv or newspaper. The same amount of money used for

advertising to a tarrgeted audience instead of just everyone can potentially

      achieve a higher response rate.
