    • My internet connection has been very very laggy these days. It would work abit better after i restart my modem. But that last for a while only. While the connection was laggy, i couldn't log in msn occasionally ...

Is my modem failing me? Or is singnet doing some funny things recently?

FYI: my modem model is Aztech ASDL2/2+ Ethernet modem. I think the modem got 1 yr plus liao...

    • Not sure. Singnet connections has stabilized as far as I'm aware.

Rather than wasting money buying a new one and test, do you have a PC? Can you hook up the modem to the spare PC and see if it works?

It could be a malware infection. Try installing a software firewall and see if any suspicious program is making use of your internet connection.

Try exiting uTorrent for a day or two and see if the situation improves. How low is that "low" of yours? And what internet connection are you on?

Eh I know you are very generous enough as a seeder, and torrent communities need more users like you, but if you're on Singnet's 1mbps connection, like me, the maximum upload speed with the internet connection is 32 kB/s only, and it is recommended to set the option to 80% of that so that you can resume your online activity. Personally, I have set it to 25 kB/s.

Just in case you are confused, that 1mbps refers to your maximum download speed. That "A" in "ADSL Broadband" means "asymmetric", which means that the download speed and upload speed aren't equal.
