    • Consider it as a good investment for the operating system.

You may get a damn good Windows laptop with that price but if the OS is crap, you're pretty much screwed Rolling Eyes

Buy during the tech fair that's coming up, more freebies Laughing

    • Don't compare Macs with PCs. It's seriously one apple and one pear.

Price wise, it's on the high side in IMO. Something higher than $3000 is reasonable... not $4000++

    • MBP. Do you really need the graphics card and 15/17-inch screen? Not forgetting its bulkiness and weight.

If not, please get the MB for $2k. Every manufacturer has an entry level and a premium level. Consider carefully if you really want the premium level, which could buy you another laptop or half of it. Laughing

MBP's were generally meant for photographers to view their pictures on the big screen on-the-go with their screen which reproduces colour more accurately (though nowadays it just gets worst) Sad

Test out an OS, don't see cool then use it. Some people think it's cool but will never fathom that OS. A few of my friends say OSX sucks, looks cool but useless, but that's because they don't know how to use it.

Same for Linux. Compiz Fusion is nice, but not all people knows how to handle it nicely...

Arrow I think it's because the MSN Messenger is not the latest version in OSX.

      Laughing

      I've heard that reason before.
