    • hi guys.

      i juz got a new desktop and the guy told me that it could detect wireless connections. but i later found out that it could not

      so issit true that if i juz buy a wireless network adapter then my desktop would be able to detect wireless connections?

      if so, are there any brands to reccommend and how much would they cost?

      thanks a bunch

    • Most desktop PCs don't have wireless built into them. I can't recall which motherboard brand has wireless built into them. It's a pretty expensive motherboard and the specs aren't that good.

      Most laptops will have wireless built into them.

      I will bet that the salesperson is bullshtting.

    • If I am not mistaken most motherboard with built-in wi-fi comes from Asus, p5k-e deluxe and such? In any case these motherboards are normally premium level and not exactly that common

      Ya, but it's not common.

      Note that I say most, I never say all.

      @korusu

      Not sure, haven't been building computers, but I'm sure I saw them somewhere. Just can't recall at the moment.

    • you purchase either a USB or PCI wireless adapter.

      For easy installation, you can consider a Dlink USB adapter which caused about $42-$45.
