Testing a theory...

      I'm finding things a little weird... so need a test. Or rather, a survey.

      The test is pretty simple.

      Go to http://mp3.baidu.com/

      Type in any song you like. Search for it.

      Report back what you found. Also tell me your ISP.

      My results:

      1st test using Singnet - Can't find any songs

      2nd test using Starhub - Can find a song that I want

      Edit: On second thought, I removed the Baidu link. Don't want Baidu to find out what's going on here. Please don't link. Thank you.

      Update

      11 Hubbers - working fine
      28 Singnet users - no go
      2 Pacnet user - no go

      2 Hubber - no go (1 using Business plan)
      1 Singnet - can stream and play the song... and now got something else.

      I suspect that Singnet might have been blocked by Baidu. Or Singnet did something to Baidu searches that it's returning nothing. I wasn't too sure until I was using Starhub at somebody's house.

      Any Starhub or PacNet users to confirm if Baidu search is working?

      Starhub.

      Working and streaming well. not to mention i m able to download both english and chinese songs.

      Me needs more samples. OK. 1 PacNet user can't get anything.

      OK. 1 Hubber liao.

      Or any other ISP.

      Baidu can download English songs? I only managed to do that for Yahoo.

      i tried the first song. it works streaming wise and downloading wise.

      Laughing Funny. When I copy the link, the page can load up but instead of chinese wordings, its rubbish wording like indian words. So next pop up is asking me to install chinese language pack and insert Win Xp disc which I clink 'never install any' . I stll can figure out the search bar and type in a english songs. Cool Can dowload leh.

      Now it's not problem exists between keyboard and chair. Evil or Very Mad

      There was a period when i couldnt get anything from baidu (starhub) and my friend using (singtel) too.

      That period I noted too. But after that, when people said it was working fine, I didn't experience it. I go to another Hubber's house to test, which worked fine.

      Which prompted this test.

      By the way, I noticed RP IP addresses range are blocked too. Hehe. No more song downloading from RP.
