    • haiz this afternoon, i was playing my PC game n all of the sudden the game froze n the dreaded blue screen appears. I restarted my laptop and while in the Windows XP loading screen, the blue screen appears again.

i went ahead to use my laptop recovery CD to restore it. I managed to reinsitall Windows Xp.

Everything was normal until i reinstall the game using the game's CD. N halfway through the installation the blue screen appear again...

Wad could have been the problem? Is the CD corrupted n caused the blue screen or isit the diskdrive or harddisk?

Can you re-enact the error and post the full error message here? Anty will be back to decipher the MS chim-chim gibberish when she returns from her outing.

urrggh thats the prob i didnt managed to take down the error msg.

But anyway i ran a scandisk to check for any errors. restarted my lappy n run scandisk. The problem now is the scandisk stop halfway at 32%. Before that there are some errors than scandisk had fixed but when it reached 32%, it stopped. Crying or Very sad

    • If it's games...

1st... try to update your computer, especially all the hardware drivers

      Next... update the game

If none works... it's the anti-whatever driver that is almost always the cause of trouble.

      Who told you that?

In addition, they have a red screen of death, of which you can reformat your computer if you encounter it.

Open Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > System)

      Select Hardware tab

      Click on Device Manager

These particular drivers need to be updated

      1. Sound
      2. Video (or graphics card)

Just right click on it and select Update Driver
