    • sticky key is off. but the problem is still there. I tried HP idea, which is to uninstall the driver, and let windows install new drivers, but still the same . I did system restore, still e same.. Is it my Ctrl key faulty?

    • Plug in a keyboard and try. If problem persists… it’s the system else it is your laptop keyboard.

    • OK

You don't need to repeat yourself so many times.

HP laptops usually have 2 Ctrl keys. Can you try the other one if available and see if it's working.

    • Let's see if Windows is responding correctly.

Open Control Panel > Ease of Access

      Click on Start On-Screen Keyboard

Highlight any block of text, click on Ctrl, followed by C

      Paste into any text editor

      Does it work?

    • Also try this -

Highlight any block of text, right click and select Copy. Paste the text into a text editor. See if it works.
