Tweak a little, you can bring it to HP service centre.

it would be better to build a new com with old psu, agp, ddr/ddr2 rams, cd-roms and casing..

in short change ur mainboard but u have to find phase out stock that have ddr slot.

1 thing do u take out the agp card and on the com? it will give out beep beep sound. if not ur mobo dies

The layout diagram provided earlier was for the ASUS P4SD-LA "Stingray" but dahliamorie is using the ASUS P4SD-LA PES revision 0.01 "Oxford-UL6E". That is why she(?) does not have the onboard VGA and only has one 15 pin hole connector provided by the AGP graphics card.

Those are capacitors. Not quite sure how they can actually missed out that.

Rusty or not is not a case. They will still work...

Since it's 5 years old... I'm not sure if you could still get a new motherboard that supports your processor. Might want to take a look around second hand shops if you don't want to buy a new one.

Blown capacitors is not caused by the initial repairing, but what’s interesting is that first computer shop didnt notice the spoiled parts.

i think what you are referring are capacitors. your motherboard probably had blown caps.

refer to the layout diagram provided by Xcert.
The card u need to remove is located at PCI 2.(white slot)
There is only 1 screw securing it.
Unscrew it and gently pull out the card

a faulty PCI modem could cause the system not to boot at all.

theres no other 15 pin plug. only 1. the other 1 is a 9 pin plug.

There also seems to be another graphics card. Can you plug in the monitor cable to that graphics card. It is below the current port you are plugging in the monitor cable to.
