    • apple is not bad. but you might have to use boot camp and install windows on it for better compatibility in schools.

Apple laptops are not famed for durability. Trust me, I am using one now.

    • battery is how u take care of it
do u still leave it in the laptop when u using adapter?
do u fully drain the batt power before recharging?

    • actually at first i tot acer is lousy.. but after owning one and been to their service center (after doing something stupid), i feel its not bad.

at least their service ctr is in singapore and they are quite efficient. same day collect.

      1. Try not to leave the battery in the laptop when using external power especially during prolong usage (unless u expecting power outage). Lithium batteries tends to dies faster when over fed ( yes even with protective circuitry in place). Once the battery is fully charge you should always stop charging immediately.

      2. Allow 1 to 2 hours of cool off time after you have finished charging the battery before using it again.

      3. Lithium batteries do not require deep discharge before charging since it does not suffer from memory effect (like NiCd). In fact lithium battery best not to over discharge and avoid keeping in discharge state. For long term storage of lithium, it is best charge to 70 to 90 % capacity.

      4. For first charge, charge for 7-8 hours (your phone or laptop, if the batt is inside, should be switch off). This is to allow the battery to reach its full charge capacity using the least charge cycle.

      5. Avoid charging below temp of 15c or above 45c.

    • actually not just the battery is spoilt. When i take out the battery and connect the pc to ac current and on it, first 5mins it is unstable and will switch off by itself anytime.
