Lithium batteries tends to dies faster when over fed ( yes even with protective circuitry in place). Once the battery is fully charge you should always stop charging immediately.
2. Allow 1 to 2 hours of cool off time after you have finished charging the battery before using it again.
3. Lithium batteries do not require deep discharge before charging since it does not suffer from memory effect (like NiCd). In fact lithium battery best not to over discharge and avoid keeping in discharge state. For long term storage of lithium, it is best charge to 70 to 90 % capacity.
4. For first charge, charge for 7-8 hours (your phone or laptop, if the batt is inside, should be switch off). This is to allow the battery to reach its full charge capacity using the least charge cycle.
5. Avoid charging below temp of 15c or above 45c.
