Hmmm, i think i experience the same thing as well. I was using the pc this morning and it suddenly hanged. I rebooted the pc but to no avail as the monitor won't work. The monitor light will blink and i have to switch on and off the main switch to get it started.
CPU is doing fine. No loose wire connection as i have check them already.
Last download, if i am not wrong, is google pack. But i don't think that affected my pc because this problem occured a while back. After that, everything was fine until today.
OS is XP.

Google pack will not cause this.
Could it be the connections between the cpu and the monitor?
a simple knock or hit could cause connections to be loosen

happened to my house's current desktop before
then we found out that got 1 fan wasn't turning.... so used a pencil go give it an initial force, which made it start turning... the comp can then start up
happened to my old desktop too... But that time it was very old le... Was still using Pentium MMX about 4 yrs ago...
What is interesting is that you have an on and off switch. Most systems nowadays just have a on switch...

We were submitting the returns and were not able to access untill we download the Java.. then it happen lor.. beside that, there is nothing wrong with the whole system... so I am really sorry I can't give more information. If software don't cause that, could it be just some loose wire as some of the kaki here say ?

The problematic Java. I suspect that there might hard disk errors since it didn't went through a proper shut down. If you are able to boot it up, run chkdsk.
I notice that when I sh\witch on the pc, the mouse, the USB thumb drive adn the key board will light up. But the monitor will be blank and the hard-drive is not reading. Does this infor help ??? please advise
Can you feel the hard disk spinning? Place your hand on the CPU casing will do. Kindly do not touch the parts inside. If something is spinning, you should be able to feel it.
