    • Hi guys!

Currently, i'm using this notebook which i bought it 3 years back. Just as i'm typing now, whenever i alt-tab for MSN or for another program, i feel the lag. The moment i open 5 or more tabs at a time, my com will jerk. So now, it's time to get a new notebook! But before doing so, i have some questions to ask, hope you guys can give me a help thanks!biggrin.png

      1)  First and foremost, i'm on budget now. Say if i would like to purchase a laptop, is it possible for me to pay by installment?

      2) What kind of laptop do you suggest i buy? I'm using it mainly for working purpose. Sometimes i have to open up to 20+ tabs and im definitely not into gaming uses.

3)Where do you guys suggest me to purchase the laptop at. I heard about places like harven norman and courts sell at a higher price?

      4) Because i seldom or never keep up the IT trend, so i'm not sure about these stuffs haha. Thanks alot!

    • Dell's prices are always very attractive. They would always give you cashbacks when you order online + freebies like upgrade to vista ultimate ect . Best still  you are able to configure your own specs.

Yes. most dealers offer installment payments. Interest free payments too.

if you have to open up to 20tabs, then a ram of >2gb would be recc for vista and 2gb for xp

There are lots of different models sold at Funan, at very cheap $. however, most prices there do not reflect the actual price. (exclusive of gst). so if you were to get a laptop or $1499, adding on gst would be a couple $80+ -- $100+?

I recc these 2 retailers -- Harven norman (knowledgeable sales person, friendly), Best. (esp gd service, before and after sales) Definitely a nono for Courts.

you could try newstead (10 anniversary promotion) and challenger too
