I suggest that you buy your digital camera at major department stores. They bundle with free goodies like pouch, memory card and cleaning kits/bag. If you want to get it at SLS, they'll exclude those free goodies and instead ask you to pay for the camera pouch and even battery. If die die you still want to buy ur camera at SLS, go to Alan Photo.

i wun recommend u any particular shop cos even the most credible one may 'chop' u if u didnt do ur homework.
go around n compare the prices 1st. no hurry.
another thing to look out for is when they ask u to buy extra battery.. check carefully whether its compatible with ur digicam.

I want to buy the Sony W170.
Its priced at $599 at Sony and all other major stores like Best Denki etc. Free gifts: 4GB memory stick + pouch
However today I found a $540 one (CHEAPER THAN W150 from Sony Gallery!!!) at a camera shop. Same free gifts. Original memory stick as well.
Anyone experienced in these trades? I don't know if I should take up the offer. Its a very new model and Sony controlled the price at $599. Is there a catch? Or they are just giving their own offers? What should I be looking out for when buying from this kind of smaller stalls?
The store is located in a very popular and big deparmental store, not those you found in chinatown of simlim.
Thanks in advance :)
