Organisers expect a million visitors at PC Show from 12—15 June
SINGAPORE: The annual PC show which will be held from the 12—15 June is going to be bigger and better. This year’s show takes up four floors at the Suntec Convention Centre and organisers expect a higher business turnover.
The Suntec Convention Centre is a hive of activities during the June school holidays, especially during the weekends. This week, it’s the world book fair and Barney’s 20th anniversary concert.
But next week, the target audience will be different with the annual PC show.
The four—day event attracted nearly 900,000 people in 2007 and this year, the attendance figure is expected to hit a million.
Organisers of the annual PC show said sales turnover at the show has been improving year by year. They added that they are not expecting a dampening effect at this year’s show despite concerns of inflation and the rising costs of living"
Gillian Loh, Lines Exposition and Management Services, said: "This year, we already have more than 600 exhibitors and in terms of sales turnover we are looking at more than S$50 million against the estimated S$26.2 million last year.
“Visitors tend to look for new products. There could be the new Macbook Air which will be showcased by EP Centre. Canon has a first—ever business which uses pigment reaction technology. So there are much more exciting products the exhibitors will be launching during the show."
Gadgets at good prices have kept consumers coming back for more.
Ms Loh continued: "Most of the consumers know that the PC show itself is a very good platform for them to find out what is the best bargain around. So to them, they can be rest assured they will have a good bargain."
And for every S$50 dollars spent at the show, buyers can stand to win S$10,000 in a lucky draw.

Went to the show yesterday. Found just two booths selling PC componenets. One was by MSI and the other was some shop from Sim Lim. And their product range was not very great either. In the end i just went over to Sim Lim and bought my graphics card and PSU.
If you are planning to buy a laptop then you will be spoilt for choices, plenty of brands and offers. I also noticed a drop in digital cameras /camcorders on sale. i also noticed plenty of open spaces between booths. Its not like previous PC shows where every inch is packed.
