so it goes like this. yst my com was running fine until i restarted it. then it went lagging like hell. scanned it with spyware doctor adaware AVG and nod32 and found nothing. but the lag was getting really bad and i cannot do anything on my com.
today i reformatted my com. initially it was still ok, but the lag starts to set in again. like only a few hours after reformatting. any idea wat’s causing this and how to fix it?
hopefully i’ll get to see replies before my com dies again.

Please check your C: and see if there is any unknown folders or files that are lurking around suspiciously.
Also, it will be good if you can install a good anti virus and firewall software and remember to update them.
This happens to me before that the virus kept coming back to my PC even when I formatted my computer twice.

is it like mine?the welcome screen stuck there forever but once it goes away everything's fine?

nope. not at the welcome screen. just when i using halfway, will randomly lag there for darn long. a window may even take like 5minutes to open up?Originally posted by mistyblue:hardware issue?
