Ya, delete from registry. Or u go find a program that can do it for u like AdAware.
The registry key below:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ RunMRU\
i tried that before. didn't work. it removes the commands you ran but if you put in 'a', it will list in a drop down box with all the websites starting with 'a'.

Sounds like Vista. Have u tried removing History in IE?
i tried clearing the history LIST in IE and it disappears from the run command box.
but when i deleted a specific URL and its links, i can still see it as mentioned in my first post.
i think you are spot on. i tried it on XP, it worked fine meaning when i delete the specific URL and links from IE (not clearing the list), it doesn't reappear on the run command box.
currently the problem i'm facing is on a vista system.
anyone any idea?
