full system scan stuck

  heyhey
  
  seems like theres a problem with my norton full system scan
  
  everytime it jus scans through halfway and it gets stuck...
  
  how do i solve this
  ?//

  scan ur disk 1st n maybe do a defrag...
  
  got update ur copy of norton daily? or ur norton is pirated? when the problem started?

  mine is the trial one...those last for 3 month still got one month left then ytd jus update liao...started last week
  
  i try defrag first

  I dont think it is a defrag problem.
  
  Sometimes it might slow down due to the programmes you use
  
  or it is slowly scanning that sector, taking quite a long time

  Do you have any big files on the hard disk? Or any big folders? Like you stall all your music files in one folder.
  
  If so, Norton might choke on it.
  
  Also, clear your temporary files and cache. Scanners always stuck there for a very long time.

  hmm still stuck...i did disk clean up,defrag,delet all the cookies and temp files still cannot...

  Does it work in Safe Mode?
  
  Have you tried online scanners? If online scanners are stuck at a particular area, it's not just Norton.

  oh ya...i tried scaning a lot of times then i notice that the area stuck are always in different files...ok i try online scanners got any good one to recommend???

  i used the windows live onecare but can scan fully sia...and i fouund out i kana trojan...how to clear ar???

  hmm i delet my norton and dl the window live one care and after that seems like the trojan is gone..should be ok now la...thaks mayi...thanks everyone for helping me
