      Consumer Report has a pretty nice way to actually watch a crash test of the vehicle you're interested in. I wouldn't try to search for a 1989 Camaro, but nevertheless, many of the newer models are shown. Not only do you get to see the exterior impact and subsequent damage, you get to see how the crash test dummy fares.
