    • can help mi find the roots of

      Qn1.       6 - (x^2/10) - (4/x) = 0

      Qn2.       x^2 + 5x -70 + (40/x) = 0

      note. they are non integers.

      and

      the coordinates of a point are (4 , 2.4) and the equation of the curve is y=5 - (x^2/10) - (4/x)

      find the gradient of the point.(using differentiation)

    • Q1 roots = 7.388, -8.06, 0.6717

      Q2 roots = 5.83, -11.43, 0.6

      y = 5 - (x^2/10) - (4/x)

      dy/dx = -x/5 + 4/x^2
      when x = 4, dy/dx = -0.55
