Registration as private candidate for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level examination
Applicants who are not confident of being offered admission to a course at NUS may wish to register to retake the ‘A’ level examination in 2008. Registration for the 2008 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level will be held from 10 to 22 March 2008. Interested applicants can register at the MOE website. MOE will not accept any late applications after 22 March 2008. In the event that the application to NUS is successful, the applicant can request for a full refund of the examination fees provided that they inform MOE of their withdrawal from the examination by 30 June 2008.
may i know the age limit for repeatees for JC2 for JCs? coz' my appeals failed..
To repeat in a JC, the principal has the power to accept or reject you.
To apply as private candidate for 'A' levels, no age limit. You can sit for the or 'A' levels (or 'O' levels) on your 85th birthday just for fun if you like.
But for Science subjects, if you repeat as private candidate, you have to sit for a Practical exam in lieu of SPA. (Unless you're taking the 'A' levels as a private candidate within 1 year after your JC, in which case you can (if you wish, if you're sure you did well in SPA) use your SPA results from your JC.)

Due to policy changes every year, I suggest you contact SEAB and/or MOE for confirmation and clarification. However, from my understanding, all Cambridge-SEAB subjects (ie. non-local languages like Chinese or Malay) must be taken in one sitting, ie. both H2 and H1 subjects must be taken in one sitting.

Fact is, I have no MSN (nor Friendster, nor FaceBook, etc. In fact, I used a pager right up till beginning of 2008, after which I finally got my first handphone in 2008.
Really.)I used to have ICQ (which I used mainly for the online game which I still have an active account since 1997 till 2008 - Ultima Online (UO forums here and here), but I gave it up when everyone switched over to MSN.
I also play KoF 2002 in the arcades for pvp; and I'll be forced to buy a new PC next year when Diablo III is released.
So again, no MSN. And not intending to register any accounts for MSN, Friendster, FaceBook, etc.
