as long u take phy and chem its ok... cos bio related courses in uni do not require u to have bio backgrd... physics is a must if u want to go for uni engineering courses.
if u can take trip sci... of cos i highly encourage u to take.
for humanities.. depends on u.. some pple like geo.. some like hist..really up to u.
math.. of cos take A math la.. otherwise u suffer in JC and Uni.

IP of which school? Leading to A levels or...? <--- I need this information in order to advise you.
UltimaOnline is right though, (even though he was just joking), chemistry is a must. Chemistry opens you to medical courses and seriously, it's the easiest subject ever. Doing chem tests is like reading a jokebook: You read it, you laugh, you write your answers down, you laugh some more, you get your paper back, you see your marks and laugh again.

Thanks for all the replies

In response to MrSean's question, I'm from Raffles Institution, and will be proceeding to RJ for A Levels.
The 10 subjects I plan to take are English, Higher Chinese, Maths (EMaths and AMaths combined into one subject, but there's a double weightage), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, SS+Philosophy (counted as 1 subject), and Research Education. The minimum number of subjects you can take is 9, and to qualify for 10 subjects, your GPA has to be above 2.8.

Wah minimum 9 subjects.
Anyway, what happens during IP? No 'O' Level cert? Then spend 4 years in a JC? What if 'A' Level screw up, then left with nothing? (touch wood)
For me, it's 4 years in RI, then 2 years in RJ. No 'O' Level cert unless you want to take it as a private candidate. If you screw up 'A' Levels, you can retake either as a private candidate or ask your JC to take you in again (I think).
