High metabolism rate renders whey protein useless? replied by coldzero @ Sun, 25 May 2008 17:39:01 +0800

When we're in the teenage age, we have got high metabolism rate,
the whey protein powder we take in is most likely to be pass out as
expensive urine. Is it still wise to take in whey protein powder or
should we just spam eggs?

will let me gain more weight other than eating? because i have been
eating more than last time and my weight gained from 47.5 to 49 , i
was on isobolic protein , but due to my busy schedule , i do not
have the time to train. That is why i do not have the chance to

am i doing something wrong..? replied by rpgragnarok @ Wed, 06 Feb 2008 03:38:15 +0800

hiya, i've been jogging and doing hiit every 2-3 days.

if im jogging, then i would jog around the reservior for around
6km, if im doing hiit, then i would do sprinting for around 10mins.
my weight afew weeks ago is 60kg and that has been maintained for
around a year unchanged but recently, i've checked my weight, it
shoots up to 65kg.. so instead of losing weight, im gaining weight.
am i doing anything wrong?

Need help for training upper back replied by AngZangGui @ Thu, 31 Jan 2008 21:09:40 +0800

Is there any exercises that can be done to train the upper back?
I've injured the area around the part where the bones protrude out
of my back when I was younger and it keeps on giving me problem
when I play sports such as badminton.

I went to 推拿 before but it only provides temporal
relief from the problem. The situation gets worse when I need to
lift heavy objects when working. Sometimes, I would feel the pain
even when I do nothing.

Row
Chinup

It means every workout will have movements that hit both the
upper body and the lower body. The extreme case would be a workout
that consists of ALL the 6-8 major movements.
Other than the 3 powerlifting lifts that you mentioned, there’s
also the overhead press, chin/pullup and row.

you have any suggestions to substitute the isolation excercise to
more compound ones? thinking of lat pull downs, but i think I
trained that by doing deadlifts and shoulder shrug.

Based on your stats, I’d say go on a full body workout 3x a week
and get your strength and size up first before doing any specific
program such as an “arms” program.

Anyway, what are your physical stats?
Height/weight/measurements/etc?

btw you're doing a hell of a lot of sets. 30 sets on Tuesday/Friday
and 54 sets on Sunday? How long do you spend at the gym man?

Typo.. lol..

I can full squat 70kg. But only 3 reps. I'm 1.8m, 62kg (I know I'm
light!)

Yea.. Cause I used to be in the top team for a sport in the
youth category. Leg strength is essential for that sport. So my
coach told us to focus on our legs. Oh ya, it’s half squat.
lol..
