as much as i think SAF was a terrible bastard when he destroyed
Kegs in the past, he's mellowed a lot and is more likeable now...
age does a lot to people and he's much nicer now

with his achievements and this year's showing, it's
well-deserved <img src=

<img src="http://www.goal.com/images/29980_news.jpg" height=

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been named the
League Managers' Association's Manager of the Year for
2007/08.

The Scotsman sealed his 10th Premier League title in the 16
years the competition has been in existence on Sunday, and is now
looking forward to Moscow, where his side face Chelsea and the
chance to win their second Champions League trophy during their
tenure, and third in total.

Sir Alex previously won the award in 1999, when he of course led
his side to an historic treble, capped by Champions League glory he
will be hoping he can re-live in just over a week's time.

He succeeds Reading boss and former Manchester United player Steve
Coppell, who won the award in the previous two seasons for his
heroics with a limited Reading side, who suffered the unfortunate
fate of relegation this time around.

Upon winning the award, Ferguson said: "It is a tremendous honour
that my fellow managers and LMA members should deem me worthy of
this award. I am very proud to receive it."
