    • Manchester United are planning an audacious bid for Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder as they seek revenge over the Spanish side in the transfer market.

The Dutch midfielder is currently hot property after scoring two sumptuous goals already in Euro 2008 which have helped to propel his country into the knockout stages of the tournament.

Sneijder signed for Real from Ajax last summer for €27 million making him the second most expensive Dutch player in history. He went on to enjoy a successful first season in Spain, scoring on his debut and helping Real to retain their La Liga title.

Whilst there is no indication that Sneijder wants to leave the Bernabeu, should Ronaldo arrive he may find his place in the starting line up under threat, and he would certainly interest Sir Alex Ferguson as a potential replacement for Ronaldo at Manchester United.

but luckily, Real is putting the brakes on for other teams like Liverpool, Milan, and MU to chase.. so generous..

      Sneijder: I'm Staying With Madrid

The Dutch midfielder's scintillating start to Euro 2008 coupled with rumours of a swap deal for Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo saw Sneijder linked with a move to Old Trafford, but he insists he will not be leaving the club - intimating he would only do so to go back to his hometown club, Ajax - and added he will not tolerate suggestions that he is leaving the club.

"When I left Ajax, the team of my life, I only wanted to go to Madrid, which is the best club in the world," declared the 24-year-old.

"Now that I'm here, the only thing I wish for is success, winning many titles and to be here as long as possible to defend this shirt and this shield.

"I will not consider, nor accept anyone else suggesting, that I am going to leave Madrid."

    • Sneijder: I'm not joining Man Utd

Holland playmaker Wesley Sneijder has dismissed suggestions he could join Manchester United by insisting he wants to stay at Real Madrid.

<!-- begin ad tag --> <!-- End ad tag --> Reports have claimed that the Dutch midfielder could be used as bait in Real's bid to secure the signing of United winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sneijder enjoyed an impressive first season at Real after arriving from Ajax and has no plans to leave the Spanish champions.

"I'd like to comment briefly on the reports and rumours that I might be going to Manchester United as part of some kind of exchange deal," the 24 year old told his personal website.

"As I've said already, when I left Ajax, all I wanted was to go to Real Madrid. They are the best club in the world.

"And now that I'm here, all I want is to win as many trophies as I can with them and wear the white shirt for as long as possible.

"The same rumours have been doing the rounds about Robinho. Well, I hope he stays too, and I hope that Cristiano Ronaldo joins us at the Bernabeu.

"In short, I'm flattered to be linked to Manchester United... but it's not happening. End of story."

    • I honestly never like Wesley Sneijder... He is just an ok player which sometimes perform and sometimes don't... He had 2 good starting match then disappear against Russia... Moreover, he will be overpriced if they want to use him as a makeweight in the Ronny deal. $20m for him it too much... United don't need another midfielder unless one leave but if they want to get another midfielder, Rafael van der Vaart would be a better option as his passing seems better, he takes the FKs for Holland ansl and his price won't be over... He will be more value for money should he come from Hamburg for the mentioned $15m...

Anyway, United don't seem to need another midfielder...

in the past, I used to be confused with Sneijder & Rafael van der Vaart.

but I saw a few games where Sneijder played in RM, and he seems to be doing well, right?

also, since he publicly declare that he doesn't want MU, then no need to get him lor.
