Toykar retail outlet: the sole distributor of Kyosho that sells AUTOart, Hotwheels, Bbburago and of course Kyosho.

Gaincorp Asia sells 1/18 Kyosho, 1/43 Ferrari's and some 1/12s.
Located at 505 Beach Road #02-164. it's at Golden Mile Food Centre, the army market.

Motorsports sells AA, kyosho, hotwheels (elite), 1/43s etc.
Located at #03-15 Delfi Orchard by the end of the year.

Apart from these, there are departmental stores like takashimaya, bhg (formerly seiyu), isetan, og... etc. they carry mainly more affordable brands like maisto, bburago, tomica, tamiya (model kits), nikko rc cars... etc.

You can also try yahoo! auctions. some of the collectors here, do post their 'for sale' models there to sell.

Hope you have a clearer picture on where to get your desired scale models on this 'small red dot' called singapore!

      Cheers!

    • I read at the Hobbyhype forum - http://forums.hobbyhype.com that there is a shop selling model cars at Golden Mile complex. Someone posted that this shop stocks lower range model cars.

      Gaincoro Asia
      02-164 Golden Mile

I have been wanting to visit the Golden Mile complex to verify this shop but don't have any reasons to go there. Can anyone verify please?

I just came from there... found the shop... The address is correct... 505 Beach Road #02-164.. it's at Golden Mile Food Centre, the army market...

Shop's name is Gaincorp Asia... So far, he's only brought in some older 1/18 Kyosho stock, like the Miura and Jota... some 1/43 Ferraris, and the 1/12 F40 lightweight and Mini...

Other than that, he's got some models of soviet aircraft, as well as the dealer editions of the Altis, Civic and Sunny as well...

The boss is quite a friendly guy, and he's also a collector like us too... =)

And are the things there cheaper?

He hasn't managed to bring in F1 models yet... I only saw one or two on display... mostly Kyosho... price is about the same as nikko's member price...

    • Hi LH83

I'm glad that you found the shop Gaincorp at Golden Mile.

The more modelcars retailers there are in Singapore, the better for us collectors.
