    • Whoa so fast start thread riaos.

I wonder when will they pull it down, so they can build the new stadium in time for 2010 Youth Olympics.

    • uzbekistan is a hard team to beat .. their players r much faster den ours ...

the only way to win is to grab all opportunities n turn chances into goals

    • Uzbekistan only managed to beat Lebanon 1-0 away so Singapore could at least hold them to a draw. We may even win them if the lions can hold them at least for the first half.

the lions would count themselves lucky to get a draw if they play like how they played today ...

It wont be built in time for the youth olympics. In fact, it is already stated in the youth olympics bid what stadiums will be used and national stadium is not one of them.

The sports hub will only be ready in 2011. You have to wonder why they want to bid for a 2010 youth olympics when it will be so much better to have it on 2014.

    • Can't belief Uzbekistan beat Saudi 3 - 0... I thought the Saudis were the top seeded team in this group... Looks like Singapore is going to have a hard time...

    • I am not surprised at all that uzb beat saudi. They totally dominated saudis in the asian cup held jointly by msia/idonesia/thai/viet but got owned by some lucky saudis' counterattack. The UZB hit the post/crossbar like 7times in that match.

I am glad raddy avramovic has great foresight and knows that UZB is the team to avoid. When i saw the draw for Singapore, i already know the team to overcome is saudis liao which is close to impossible. Too bad, Singapore didnt get kuwait(fading team), north korea(unstable) or china(too much pressure) from pot B. Bahrain is a bit too strong and fast for Singapore too.

    • Alam Shah to appeal against his ban. He really want to play for the national team again.

    • Live telecast on Ch5 tomorrow. So I guess many local supporters will not go all the way to National Stadium just for this match.
