    • hmm this season when we thought Inter and Madrid will retain their titles again, we some action!

Roma has a good chance of overcoming Inter this time. They trail by 4 points but have 8 games to go. me thinks Roma has a damn good chance of overcoming the odds.

In La Liga, Madrid squandered their 8 point lead to a 4 point gap which I believe it's not impossible for Rijkaard's men to win it this season.

So bros, waddya think? Inter or Roma? Madrid or Barca?

    • BARCA ROCKED BY BETIS FIGHTBACK

Real Betis produced a stunning second-half comeback to inflict a painful 3-2 defeat on Barcelona and severely damage the Catalan side's Primera Liga title hopes.

Frank Rijkaard's team ended the day in third spot after Villarreal leapfrogged them with a 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Barca had looked set to move to within a point of rivals Real Madrid after they stormed into an early two-goal lead at the Ruiz de Lopera Stadium.

Bojan Krkic and Samuel Eto'o struck within three first-half minutes to give the visitors a comfortable cushion at the interval, but Betis hit back shortly after the break through Edu.

The Brazilian then had a penalty saved by Victor Valdes, but Betis equalised a minute later through Juanito and stole a dramatic win when Edu atoned for his earlier miss with a stunning strike late on.

Betis were allowed to play the game at their own ground despite being given a two-match stadium ban after Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Armando Ribeiro was struck in the face by a bottle thrown from the crowd two weeks ago.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) had ordered the game to be played at Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon stadium, but Spain's Sporting Discipline Committee (CEDD) overturned the decision following an appeal.

In contrast to Barca, Villarreal had no such worries as they stormed to a comfortable win over Atletico.

    • I think Villarreal is a very dangerous threat to Real.. Seems that from the last few games, they have played much better football than both Barcelona and Real Madrid..

    • Real Madrid will have the neerve to hold on and claim their title.

As for Serie A, I think it will go down to the wire and if Inter can cope with their injuries, they might just edge Roma out for it.

    • Serie A: De Rossi lifts Roma to within point of Inter

Daniele De Rossi's penalty 10 minutes from time helped AS Roma beat Genoa 3-2 on Saturday to move within one point of Serie A leaders Inter Milan.

Champions Inter can re-establish their four-point advantage at Atalanta on Sunday but will be without injured top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Genoa forward Marco Borriello needlessly brought down Rodrigo Taddei and Rossi blasted the ball home to spare second-placed Roma's blushes after throwing away a two-goal lead.

AC Milan also cut the gap on fourth-placed Fiorentina to a point after Filippo Inzaghi and Kaka returned from injury to score in a 3-1 home win over struggling Cagliari.

In Rome, the hosts opened the scoring on 14 minutes when Taddei tapped in a rebound after goalkeeper Rubinho had blocked his first effort from Max Tonetto's cross. Striker Mirko Vucinic, standing in for the injured Francesco Totti, doubled the lead four minutes later with an excellent dipping shot from 20 metres.

Genoa then scored twice in a minute in the second half, Marco Rossi netting after Borriello's shot was saved and forward Julio Cesar Leon equalising with a fierce effort. Inter's lead was 11 points in mid-February but Roma have whittled that down to a point for the first time and have six games left to try to snatch their first championship since 2001.

'We believed even when we were eight points behind. They have difficult fixtures, however so do we,' De Rossi said. The win was a boost for Roma ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg at Manchester United where the Italians must overhaul a 2-0 deficit. Totti is battling to recover from a thigh problem in time for the game.

    • La Liga: Ten-man Real hold on for point at Mallorca

Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw at Real Mallorca in the Primera Liga on Saturday, extending their lead at the top to seven points. The champions rode their luck in the first half but took the lead just before the break through Wesley Sneijder.

The game swung Mallorca's way after Sergio Ramos was sent off in the 65th minute and Borja Valero's stunning equaliser soon after had the visitors desperately hanging on at the end. 'The sending off changed the game. Bearing that in mind, and the stage of the season we are at, a point is a good result,' Real coach Bernd Schuster said.

The leaders have 66 points with seven games left to play. On Sunday, second-placed Villarreal can close to within four points with a victory at Sevilla, while Barcelona, who are third on 58, host UEFA Cup quarter-finalists Getafe.

Earlier, French striker Florent Sinama Pongolle scored the only goal as Recreativo Huelva won 1-0 at Osasuna. The former Liverpool player outpaced the home defence to score in the 37th minute, earning Recre three valuable points that dragged them out of the relegation places. They climbed to 16th in the standings one point short of their hosts in 14th.

Mallorca had clearer chances in an open first half against their visitors from Madrid, having a goal harshly ruled out for a foul in the build up and a good shout for a penalty waved away just before halftime. By then the league leaders had scored.

Dutch winger Arjen Robben dribbled into area and his low cross was pushed into the path of his compatriot Sneijder to score in the 43rd minute. The visitors looked relatively comfortable until Ramos picked up his second yellow card with 25 minutes to go.

Former Real youth team player Valero grabbed the equaliser, running on to Juan Arango's deft touch to curl a shot into the top corner. Guiza rattled the bar with the goal gaping near the end but Mallorca were unable to complete what would have been their third victory over Schuster's side since the turn of the year.
