Sergio Ramos has been offered a mega salary to join Chelsea in the summer after his agent met with Roman Abramovich in Madrid this week and Real Madrid are open to the move.
The Blues supremo held negotiations with the defender's representative, and brother, René Ramos during the basketball Euroleague Final Four in the Spanish capital, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
An offer of €7m-per-year after tax was laid on the table which would more than double Ramos' current deal at Madrid which sees him take home around €3m-a-season.
Chelsea are also prepared to shell out a huge transfer fee to land their man, if the report is to be believed, and Ramón Calderón is said to be interested with the funds being able to be used to bolster the squad during the summer.
Abramovich is keen to revitalise the Chelsea team and that next season his team are not in the position of having to play second fiddle to Manchester United in the Premier League.
The Russian oligarch is preparing to dig into his coffers again to prise some of Europe's best players away from their current clubs and Ramos fits the bill perfectly.
Madrid have still not settled on a new contract with the former Sevilla defender and the Blues' approach will make it even hard for them to settle on a deal.
El Mundo Deportivo have chosen the day of el Clásico to report the move for Ramos, but Abramovich was in Madrid this week to see the basketball tournament.
