    • Didier Drogba insists he has no intention of heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door this summer, despite being linked with Inter Milan.

The powerful Chelsea forward has been strongly linked with Internazionale following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as coach - but has reiterated his desire to remain in England.

"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, so I am still a Chelsea player," the striker told skysports during a promotional campaign for his autobiography back in Ivory Coast. "Mourinho is my friend and I am happy for him because he was missing coaching.

"He is a top coach but, like I said, my contract here runs until 2010."

Drogba, who was sent-off late on during the Champions League final with Manchester United for slapping Nemanja Vidic, also spoke of his disappointment at ending the 2007/08 season empty-handed.

"I am really disappointed with myself (for getting sent-off)," he added.

"I lost my head completely and I let the team down. I should not have reacted in that way.

"I let myself down, the Chelsea fans, my homeland - but that is life.

"I have now lost three finals. One UEFA Cup (with Marseille), an African Nations Cup and now the Champions League, but that is football.

"Hopefully I will win the next one."

    • What a sudden change of mind!

Near the end of the season, he kept on insisting that there was no way he would be at Chelsea for the forthcoming season. And that it would be highly possible that he'd join whichever team that Jose Mourinho coaches.

And now, this u-turn. Well, if he wants to stay, good, but perhaps it would be better if he forbears from all his rants this upcoming season.

Erm, so is Chelsea still getting David Villa? What about Nicolas Anelka? Since Drogba doesn't want to leave now, and if Villa comes in, Anelka would have no place in the team unless Scolari decideds to opt for a different system (playing with 3 strikers).

And there has been no news of Andriy lately. Linked back with a move to AC Milan for so long, but there doesn't seem to be anything happening. Staying too, I guess.
