Ballack please dont play.
I am not so worried about Spain losing Villa
then Germany losing Ballack. At least Spain got cover in Guiza and
Fabregas. I wonder the replacement for Ballack is good enough or
not. Nevertheless, Espanol will beat Germany!!
4-2 anyone?Edited by chrisbenoit 29 Jun `08, 9:21AM

Well, normally this type of event is quite interesting... You follow till the end.
The Euro 2004, the WC 2006... Even the WC 2002 in Japan / Korea was more interesting... This Euro 2008 seems like rather low key and has never got to the height of good... at best just average... I think i missed more than half of the telecast, probably only watch 1/4 of it and a few matches i didn't even bother to watch till the end cos with teams like Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Poland... it was really boring... The football was poor... France was poor, Italy was boring, The Czech Rep, Croatia, Sweden, Romania... all defensive styles. Russia only had one good match and against the Dutch... The Dutch were probably the only exciting team to watch at Euro 08... and i couldn't belief this team actually lost to Russia who were beaten in their Semi final in such a pathetic fashion that i felt disgusted by even staying up to catch it...
Unlike at the WC where we got unexpected and unknown qualities African nations coming out to make a name for themselves for the first time by showing no fear against big European and S American powers with their athleticism and brand of attacking foorball that made the world stand up and take note of them...
This Euro 08 has just been plain boring... Even the finalist Spain and Germany are somewhat uninteresting... Spain had easy games all the way to the final and the most difficult match they had was against a lacklustre Italian side who they couldn't even beat in 120 mins... Germany... well, they are not bad, they have played as systematic as the Germans normally do only without the style as usual...
After this tournament, I can't belief UEFA president Platini still want to expand it to 24 teams next... and he don't think it will affect the quality of the competition... What next, Bulgaria, Scotland, Ukraine, N Ireland, Norway, Wales... He don't think they are going to dilute the competition?
Well, the next joint host are Ukraine and Poland... so we can expect more of this from the host countries...
