Chelsea sent out on message to the rest of the Premier League in Big Phil Scolari's first game in charge by thumping Portsmouth 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka capped off a superb start before a Frank Lampard penalty brought the first half to a close. Deco capped off a Man of the Match performance on his debut with a stunner right at the end of the match.

    • There's a reason why a team has to play 38 games a season. It's a test for consistency, and the most consistent one will win the league.

    • We shall see how Chelsea perform against the other Big 4.... I wonder if they can sustain their form when faced with stiffer opposition.

    • haha yah i LOL@ at the brazil thing

but something worrying is that the defence might not be good enough though, it seems that the defence is a bit shaky and very easily to go 1-on-1 with cech

    • having seen brazil play of late, it's actually a flattery to the samba boys.....

chelsea is just having a good start, consistency is key....but they should be the one to watch...deco is a great addition, it takes away some of lanpa's burden and together with cole, they have more creativity...and they still have essien and drogba to come...depth is there, arsenal needs to do some good buying rather than play the kids all the time....spurs was a let-down....thaksin is screwed again, fergie will be in a hurry to get that sulk from spurs and liverpool wishes money was easier to come by.....
