Newcastle newboy Jonas Gutierrez is hopeful that the club's 1-1 draw with Manchester United has set the tone on both an individual and collective level for the rest of the season.
The portents are good for Newcastle’s summer signing - nicknamed 'Spiderman' because of his goal celebration - after a display of refreshing bravado that will have caught the eye of his new supporters.
The Argentina winger looked to be a player right out of the Kevin Keegan mould with a tireless performance at Old Trafford.
Gutierrez and new team-mate and Argentine compatriot Fabricio Coloccini must now make the long journey to Belarus for international duty.
"We both like to play for our country,” he said. “It is a great honour for us, so now we have a friendly match with Belarus and we go away very happy.
"We come back on Thursday night, which is near the Bolton match, but we will be prepared to play.
"Fabricio enjoyed the match. It was a great start for him and the rest of the team.
"He is looking forward to more, like I am."
