Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says they fear no-one in Europe after two wins from their opening two Champions League group games.
He said: "Last season was a bad experience for us in the group right from the start.
"It was important to get six points this time straight away with our first two games. That makes things easier to manage, certainly than last season.
"When you are winning big games in succession, when you are playing well, the confidence grows - especially when those games you have won include victories against Manchester United and Everton."
He added: "The confidence is high and we aim to keep it that way. The wins over United and Everton have shown the team that they can beat anyone.
"Last season people were saying we could not beat the top three, but we deserved to beat United and it was the same against Everton. Those wins show how much we have improved.
"In such situations you do not need to say too much to the players, confidence is high and they know what they are capable of."

weakened? so man utd relies on 1 person to see if can win a match anot? doesnt mean ronaldo down, man utd down. liverpool played united without torres and gerrard coming on in the 2nd half also. but none of liverpool fan conplained about the missing of torres, why are you complaining the absence of a star when your team is considered a european champion? a real champ should be able to play anyone at any time, all really to win.

true, gerrard and torres may be liverpool's current icon but nobody is bigger than the club. But look at ronaldo.

no matter what Rafa think' i'll bet the title will end up with either Chelsea or ManU.. in recent years ManU are usually a tab slow at the start of the season, they'll pick themselves up after a couple of games.. Liverpool does looks pretty decent but they dun have that "fear" factor when rivals play them..

I think Ah Ben is more concerned about the EPL game now.
I see him more involved in the EPL game as he does all the sign languages that no one knows and I dun think the players got time to look at him.
With the right belief, I believe Liverpool will be able to win the EPL title next year.
As for the rest of the team, they have their teething problem to resolve and I have not see any issue with Liverpool at the moment except for the striker dept.
Winning is a habit and I hope they maintain this habit till the end of the season.

yeah that right, we think believe liverpool dont fear anyone in europe. but we only fear liverpool. the biggest enemy for liverpool is liverpool. the only consistency about liverpool is inconsistency.
but i had to agree, so far so good. let wait and see when the bubble will burst when rafa try to shuffle the team.

how can you say man united fielded their reserves, kind of implying that they have a weak 2nd team. Which part of that day's lineup is ''reserve''? Honestly i thought pool were gonna get thrashed when tevez scored that 1st goal early on. I think you should give some credit to pool for playing well that day.

lol, this is the kind of man utd fans we have in singapore, most of e devils fans normally cant accept their team being defeated. rather, liverpool and arsenal fans are more of willing to admit that their teams lost. right?
