    • ok here is the deal. i play basketball on a regular basis, say almost everyday. i play barefoot on those typical concrete floors usually at night. ok occasionally patches of red would appear on my sole.

i have discern that the red patches are actually blood inside. is there any repercussions if i allow this to continue? perhaps i should start wearing shoes.

oh ya, does lack of salt result to headaches after a workout?

    • why you play barefoot? Even if nothing happens to the sole, the impact of landing might have long term effect on your knees or ankles.

I'm not very sure whether it is because of lack of salt that causes the headaches, but it might be because blood flows to your active muscles, thus less blood flow to your head, causing a temporary low blood pressure. That's what I think.

Yes. Lack of salt and low level of sodium in the body may result in dizziness, vomitting, nausea, muslce cramp etc', but that's usually happened when it severe cases.  You can try read up Hyponatremia.

    • Firstly you really should start wearing shoes when you play basketball, due to the impact after a long time from the landing long term effects on your toes and heel might result in bone damage. And also it can help prevent unnecessary sprains and bone fractures.

Secondly i play basketball and wearing a shoe can really help you to run, brake and move much quicker and steadier :)
