Joanna Wang - Let's Start from Here

      Giving up, why should I
I've come too far to forget
      Beautiful, just got lost
      Somewhere along the way
So much was missing when you went away

Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance don't think too deep
Of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
I don't care where we go
      Let's start from here

      Standing here face to face
      A finger on your lips
      Don't say a word don't make a sound
      Silence surrounds us now
Even when you were gone I felt you everywhere

Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance don't think too deep
Of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
I don't care where we go
      Let's start from here
      Let's start from here

I've never been the one to open up
But you've always been the voice within
The only warmth from my cold heart
Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance. don't think too deep
      Of all those promises

Let's start from here, lose the past
Change our minds, we don't need a finish line
Let's take this chance, don't think too deep
Of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
I don't care where we go
      Let's start from here
      Let's start from here

      JOANNA WANG TRUE LYRICS

So true funny how it seems
always in time but never in line for dreams
Head over heels when toe to toe
This is the sound of my soul
      this is the sound

I bought a ticket to the world
but now I've come back again
why do I find it hard to write the next line
Oh I want the truth to be said

Huh huh huh huh huh huh
I know this much is true
Huh huh huh huh huh huh
I know this much is true

With a thrill in my head and a pill on my tongue
dissolve the nerves that I've just begun
      Listening to Marvin(all night long)
This is the sound of my soul
      this is the sound

      Always slipping from my hands
Sets a time of its own
Take your seaside arms and write the next line
Oh I want the truth to be known

I bought a ticket to the world
but now I've come back again
Why do I find it hard to write the next line
Oh I want the truth to be said

by the way, True was written and first sung in the 80s by Spandau Ballet

listen to it here => True - Spandau Ballet

they also came up with another amazing song:

=> Through The Barricades - Spandau Ballet

i cannot define nice because everyone have their own perspective though. i can only say if you think it's nice, just share it with everyone and let them judge for themselves if they think it's nice too though

for the song "True", yeah i knoe that. i heard it from "The wedding singer" sound track though.

      THROUGH THE BARRICADES

Mother doesn't know where love has gone
She says it must be youth that keeps us feeling strong
I see it in her face that's turned to ice
And when she smiles she shows the lines of sacrifice
And now I know what they're saying as our sun begins to fade
And we made our love on wasteland and through the barricades

      Father made my history
He thought for what he thought would set us somehow free
They taught me what to say in school
I learned it off my heart but now that's torn in two
And now I know what they're saying in the music of the parade
And we made our love on wasteland and through the barricades

Born on different sides of life
We feel the same and feel all of this strife
So come to me when I'm asleep
We'll cross the lines and dance upon the streets
And now I know what they're saying as the drums begin to fade
And we made our love on wasteland and through the barricades

Oh turn around and I'll be there
There's a scar right through my heart but I'll bear it again
Oh I thought we were the human race
But we were just another borderline case
And the stars reach down and tell us there's always one escape

I don't know where love has gone
And in this troubled land desperation keeps us strong
Fridays child is full of soul
With nothing left to lose there's everything to go
And now I know what they're saying it's a terrible beat we made
And we made our love on wasteland and through the barricades

And now I know what they're saying as our hearts go to their graves
And we made our love on wasteland and through the barricade

    • if you like songs like the ones Spandau Ballet sung, you can go look at the songs of the 1980s from UK..

around that time, they had really cool bands like The Human League, Heaven 17, ABC, Japan, Simple Minds, Howard Jones and lots more..

i really enjoyed the songs then.. it was a simpler and more innocent time... and the songs showed it.. lots of hope, love and romanticism smile.png

    • yah.. i like songs like those smile.png

oh.. i'm currently listening to this legendary Australian band Cold Chisel..

not everyone's cup of tea but their songs strike a chord with the Australians and those who lived there and understood what it meant to live there.. the joy, the hope, and sometimes the desperation and despair..

although more famous for another song, this live performance moved me..

=> When The War Is Over - Cold Chisel

    • When The War Is Over

      Cold Chisel

      When the war is over

      Got to get away

Pack my bag to no place

      In no time no day

You and I we used each other's shoulder

Still so young but somehow so much older

How can I go home and not get blown away?

You and I had our sights set on something

Hope this doesn't mean our days are numbered

I got plans for more than a wanted man

All around this chaos and madness

Can't help feeling nothing more than sadness

Only choice to face it the best I can

      When the war is over

      Got to start again

Try to hold a trace of what is was back then

You and I we sent each other stories

Just a page I'm lost in all its glory

How can I go home and not get blown away?

Aint nobody gonna steal this heart away
