ok guys , i really would like to comment on this , there are many people who play soccer at the basketball court , and the people playing basketball will have to give in , and sometimes those people playing soccer even got the cheek to tell those playing basketball ppl to leave the court. I don’t think its right to do that. And they are occupying the whole court for long hours of playing soccer , as there are many ppl at the basketball cour waiting for next team and next team. And we the one playing basketball , sometimes cant play at all , we went to other basketball court , and there is also ppl playing soccer. Sometimes we are very angry. But we really can’t do anything , most of them are big size and we have to leave when they cant score and will start to tell us to leave , and some even uses frustrated tone instead of nice way. And sometimes police will come , maybe called by the resident of the HDB flats around there , but when the police come , they will use their soccer ball and act like a basketball and started to play basketball and the police cant do anything also. and sometimes when we playing match at one of the court , they purposely ram the ball towards our court instead of another court , so as to chase us away. This is really frustrating for us basketballer , and sometimes they even threaten to fight , Guys , whats ur view on this? cos i tink its really unfair to the basketballer there.

i think im guilty of playing freestyle soccer at bball courts but i only play when its empty. usually its empty la [the open space beside yishun polyclinic]

if got bballer come,i will move.sometimes if in the midst of the game ill ask for maybe play last goal. but def ill go la.

Yes I hate all these soccer players also.

If u want to play soccer, go to a field and play.
Want to play street soccer then go find a street soccer court.

Normally i just call the NPP to lodge a complain, the police always give them a stern warning only. The next day they continue to come and play soccer like nothing happened

But i just feel like laughing a few of them because those buggers wear basketball jerseys and basketball shoes to play soccer? lol.

I have done so and the police come regularly to check on us. They would only advise us to give way if people are using it for basketball.

lack of streets soccer courts also dun give them the rights to use basketball court , then what about the basketballer? there are many cases of fighting between basketballer and soccer ppl , and pls dun give lack of streets soccer court as a reason , there is a street soccer court below my house , and there is another basketball court near my house , but i still saw ppl playing soccer at the basketball court. I thought of a way to stop this , make all the basketball court , those poles to become 1 pole instead of 2 poles , so that they wont be able to treat the 2 poles as goal post. basketballer still have the right.

to be honest.that wont solve the prob too as i play soccer hitting the pole as a goal haha.

i am guilty playing on basketball court too last time.nowadays i play at street soccer court.

but normally when got pple play basketball, we will ask nicely whether can let us the court.i admit we are selfish.but if they insist.we will leave.

afterall it a BASKETBALL court.therefore i think u shld give ur stand.and stay firm.

I never said that it gave them the right to play football @ basketball court.

if they are doing so when the basketball court is completely empty i feel that is fine..........but when there are any users want to use it they should leave the court.

but the problem is cause by Lack of street soccer court / futsal court

o ya here in my area Sembawang got like 5 basketball court and building one more just in front of Sun Plaza so in total 6 basketball court in such a small area.

While there is not even a single street soccer court that i know of in Sembawang.

no , its not alright at all , i dun agree with you , basketball court is for playing basketball , whether there are ppl or no ppl , you guys are not suppose to play in the basketball court. its not as if basketballer goes into soccer court and play basketball , pls , dun use “no soccer court” as an excuse.

There is no law in Singapore that states that basketball courts are platforms built solely for basketball. I guess you'll have to debate with those soccer players and get them to leave.

If there is indeed this law, you could ring up the police for it's against the law

have u seen the sign at the basketball court? whereby they put no soccer is allowed for the pic? and yes there is a law saying no soccer to be played by soccer player. Its quite obvious isnt it? and yes the basketball court is built solely for basketball purpose only. you seen basketballer playing basketball at ur street soccer court?

My basketball kakis all ard 1.8m-1.9m, most of the time we tower over the other group leh.

We dun zi siao ppl, ppl oso dun zi siao us. Only in situations when we already playing halfway then they invade the court we will then 'ask' them to f off.

Try soft approach first lah, if dun work then up to your imagination already. Also try to play at courts where the pole is just 1 and not 2. No goalposts they ji tao sian.

my friend all small small size , we also cannot do anything , call police , they will kay siao , then after police go away they start again , then they start ram here and there , we can't even concentrate on playing our basketball when the ball is flying around , and sometimes for nth u get rammed for nothing , and they dun even say sorry , and sometimes they still get annoyed and said , eh u guys can leave a not!? we playing soccer , later hit u how? and my friend aren't big size as ur friend is.

My friend got rammed by a group of this kinda people before.

His specs broke and got a cut. They didnt even appologise.
