Try Kotobuki next to the Jurong West Bowling center. Close to Lakeside i think. They have an excellent all you can eat (not the circling plates of sushi type like Edo) dinner menu at $30++ dollars. You order dishes and they serve it to you like ala carte. Their sashimi is very good most days, or adequate on a few unlucky days. Can also order VSOP at very reasonable prices to wash down the fish. They also have other side dishes like Chicken teriyaki, tempura, udon, etc... which are all included in the dinner charge. Used to have green tea ice-cream as a desert but now they've switched to chocolate and vanilla.
Make sure you ask for an enclosed room. -

not super good ...just so so if you are not fussy....tempura is quite good
But i would say for those who eat lost of sashimi, try this place rather than those conveyor belt -
value and quality wise, i wld recommend Ikoi at Miramar Hotel@ River valley rd. It's a ala-carte buffet at abt $30. You have to book a week in advance to be sure of a table, it is always full.
Variety and novelty wise, you can try Kuishinbo at Suntec City 3rd flr, also better to book. It's abt $35, but cld be cheaper if you complete yr meal within 1.5 hrs, etc.
