It's Biology on BioMagnification. A process where poison is accumulated and passed from the lower food chain to higher up food chain.

If stingrays intake mercury, the mercury will slowly poison our blood.Originally posted by silvercap:BBQ stingray is my favorite, my place got $4 stingray set meal leh, but I hear eat too much will kena mercury poison, how come?

Farm raised salmon grow at a very fast rate.. yes? Yes
So they are forced fed, so they can be sold quickly in a shorter time for more profits and less costs.
They are force fed with lots of fishes that are known to contain lots of mercury.
Furthermore the pinkish ting on the salmon flesh comes from red dye added to their food.
Compare farm raised salmon with wild salmon. Wild salmons' flesh are a little grey orangey.
But I wonder why the Wo Ha died down. Does it mean the farm raised are ok now? I haven't eaten a single salmon after that series of articles. I used to love teriyaki salmon.
I am sure you still can find related articles.![]()
