just now at foodcourt

ok it was about 5pm+ n i was at the foodcourt with my mum in a particular shopping centre.
i walking along the tables n saw one indian lady sitting by the table n she was digging out sardines from a small can into her styrafoam packet of rice, maybe its plain rice or rice with a dish. naturally i find it quite strange as most people wouldn't do that in a foodcourt. so i look at her n she saw me looking n gave me the 'WTF R U STARING AT?!?!' look, n i think she was gonna throw the empty tin can at me if i continue staring, n so i stopped staring n walk ahead....
ok later on at 7pm after grocery shopping with my mum we went back to foodcourt for dinner. i q up at the fried kway teow/carrot cake etc stall to order mee goreng. then the woman in front of me had gotten her black fried carrot cake n was paying for it. she was digging thru her purse for coins to pay n then one 10 cent dropped on her chai tau kueh. but luckily it dropped n landed on the side of the plate, n kenna some chai tau kueh. then she laughed a bit n the uncle hawker also laugh. so i laugh a bit too. haha coz funny mah?
n then i told the uncle to sprinkle spring onions on my mee goreng coz i like spring onions. then when the uncle gave to me, got no sng kam. then i asked the uncle n then he gave me lor. aiyo. must have sng kam one, coz the display board picture shows the plate of mee goreng with a sng kam on it.

ok moral of the stories.
1. do not stare at people when they r holding on to an object which seems dangerous.
2. when u dig for coins to pay for ur food, dont do it too near ur plate of food
3. remember to look at the display board food picture when u order food in the foodcourt n note any discrepancies to the actual food u get. n do ask for the hawker to rectify the discrepancy. Eg. if the chicken rice stall got a picture of chicken rice with 3 slices of cucumber but u only get 2 miserable small pieces, better ask the hawker why the chicken u get is diff from the display. or if u order carrot cake n the hawker didnt give u spring onions n yet the display pic show carrot cake with spring onions, better ask the hawker. etc etc -

yes bcoz i recognise the plate, the uncle outside cook the chai tau kueh and auntie inside cook mee goreng. the cup also from the dam expensive drink stall! -
Yes it is. Yes the uncle cook chai tau kueh n oyster omelet on the hot plate outside the stall n the auntie cooks noodle dishes inside. i like their mee goreng n carrot cake. their hokkien mee is a bit bland n their char kway teow doesnt taste like standard char kway teow. i think the uncle name is jeffrey coz the stall name is jeffrey's cornerOriginally posted by akinos:is the shopping center thomson plaza?

When I'm there I prefer to order food from Jai Thai. It's been around for a while and still beats the newly opened Thai Express any day.
