The Jawbreakers at the Science Centre

Remember the jawbreakers dispensed from a machine at the Singapore Science Centre about more than a decade ago? The ones going for 50 cents each, as big as a fishball and takes ages to saw apart with a knife?
Does anybody know where I can find jawbreakers of this evil kind nowadays, be it online (local or overseas stores) or in Singapore?????
Or is there a kind soul living overseas who is willing to ship me some of these jawbreakers?

Really?? You don't remember that machine with lots of jawbreakers, where you put in 50 cents, twist the knob and then a jawbreaker will spiral down from the machine into the tray?

the only jw breaker is the small one, Gobstoppers i think, the willy wonka one. LOL.

Big sized ones are... Rare. I think because many people broke their jaws and lost their teeth. :P
Anyway. The only similar ones I can think of are Gobstoppers. Only smaller. I still prefer Jawbreakers though.

Gobstoppers aren't worthy to be called jawbreakers! I can easily chomp apart a Gobstopper.
I actually found an online store selling jawbreakers looking awfully similar to those we had from the Science Centre, but they sell in bulk i.e. thousands of jawbreakers per order.
I remember attempting to use a chopper to cut the jawbreaker into smaller pieces because I was taking forever to finish it, but it wouldn't break! In the end I placed it in the fridge, and I'm not sure if I had continued eating it the next day or ended up dumping it.

The only thing I like about Jawbreakers is, once you pop one, it takes forever too finish. Shouldn't all candy be like that? :D

Mooku do we come from the same primary school?
I always buy alot when my pri sch has outings to the sci centreI especially made a trip down last yr to the Sci centre onli to my disappointment that the machine is not arnd anymore.
I rmber the jawbreakers~ I used to change 10 dollars notes to tong the jawbreakers and put dem in this big plastic bag to bring home.
If i nv rmber wrongly the core of the jaw breaker is a sourish Earth core.

I came from an all-girls primary school that has now more than tripled its intake size ever since they moved to the new premises... Same or not?

the core is the best part of the sweet of coz must finish ma!!

umm....would u like them if they were larger than 1 inch in diameter......?
the diameter is when u cut a circle into half and you measure the longest 'length' right...??
cos those that i usually see are about....a good at least 2 inches in diameter....=p heh...

after a while, i end up trying to break them by chewing on them
there's also the wimpy version sold by willy wonka..
