Do you like fusion food? What exactly is fusion food? Are you
adventurous enough for fusion food or are you a safe eater who prefer
cuisine you are familiar with?
Last Wednesday, I had the honour
of being invited by Helena Lim, co-owner of Persimmon (as well as
Epicurious at Robertson Quay) to partake in the taste testing session.
The
name “Persimmon” was chosen as suggested by Sharon, the other co-owner,
because it is a often misunderstood and curious type of fruit,
something that aligns with the type of cuisine they served in Persimmon
– Fusion – European dishes with a hint of Singapore flair.

i read about it here liao

in what way are persimmons often misunderstood and curious?
Hey FireIce: It was a different tasting session - We had the prawns and dessert which the earlier session did not tried. Also the Wagyu Beef Char Kway has been replaced by Fettucine instead. :)
Skeujin: Well, according to Sharon, people often mistood it for a vegetable and some even though it was an orange.
