  if u are toking about sushi...particularly sushi on conveyor belt....it's Sakae!

  1) Tanglin SHopping centre, where u can go in the restaurant from the carpark....
  
  2) The new one at Allson hotel, better book, cos almost everynite full hse...the Sake is the best, ard $70 for a 1.8litre bottle...kekekeke

  To my knowledge, there is no cheap and good japanese restaurant in s'pore, as cheap and good is something of an anomaly for Japanese cuisine.

  there r actually a few chain stores for revolving sushi. the 2 i can rmb now is edo and sakae

  I like Sushi Tei at Paragon and Far East plaza....check out their weekday promotion..usually I spend like...30+ there....
  
  Sakae Sushi is absolutely delicious as well..but then...it's far too ex...I spend like 50+ whenever I go there..it's a sinful extravangent act....

  there's this little sushi rest. at marina square near the arcade.
  sushi quite standard. but try their terriyaki chicken and inari sushi.

  there's another chain restaurant wid revolving sushi....Genki....try it...can be considered the better one...
  
  for cheap jap food, try the restaurant located on the second floor of the building next to the Toa Payoh Library...the building should be red if I didnt remember wrongly...the name goes something like "...... Don "....
  
  the price is reasonable and as well as the food...

  budge one... Edo Sushi.... cineleasure preffered...
  try soft shell crab & yakiniku udon.
  
  more expensive one... Tonkinchi Scott Isetan building & Suntec.
  
  There's also one at Marina Sq & China Square Central - Tokyo Sin. Like the agedashi tofu.

  Try ex-Changi theatre at Bedok, they have the cheapest Japanese food at $2.50 a plate. Hurry before it close down, non aircon by the way.
