Does anyone know if there are ice cream suitable for diabetics? Perhaps using those artificial sweeteners? I am not very sure, but just trying around, want to get them.
thanks for your helpful replies. ![]()
hmm... i don't think there's such thing..
if I'm not wrong, there's an outlet named scoopz located at parkway parade but not sure if its still there or not..
this is not really relevant in sg la..
but i do rmb that ive eaten ice cream that is sugar free, meant for diabetics..
was in australia when i ate it..
think not a bad idea to bring into sg and sell..
quite a huge population is actually diabetic..
some gelato is no added sugar. I am diabetic myself and i would recommend that when you go for food, do not go for SUGAR FREE, normally that means they use artificial sugar which is not good for your health in the long run anyway, NO ADDED SUGAR just means that the whatever sugar is found comes from the fruit or food itself.... which is actually healthier and better for diabetics.
Anyway I ate at MOF, a japanese cafe in Bugis Junction the other night, I saw they sell Gelatos that have no added sugar. you can try there. Not many such ice creams or gelatoes. You can try Cold Storage, they have a good range of health foods that are suitable for diabetics but not sure about ice creams

There's one ice-cream shop that sells diabetic friendly ice-cream at Paragon basement. There's a New Zealand's Natural there also, but confirm not for diabetics.
Can't remember the name of the shop though... but it's near Old Chang Kee and ToriQ.
Take yoghurt loh.
gelato got sugar-free de.
bt try nt to take too much of artificial sweetener.
