wat is the name called?
Oh i found this from the Jurong Point website. Its called
Try IVINS at Jln Leban or Binjai Park. Relatively cheap for a restaurant. No service charge.
I just tried True Blue Cuisine at Armenian Street. Very beautiful place, very peranakan. The place is decorated with many antiques donated by Perankan families.
Very nice place and so is the price. 2 pieces of onde onde cost me $4.50. But I would say it's the best onde onde I have tasted so far.

Sorry...the one I tried was in Malacca.... The taste was not bad.
Looks like you haven't tried the ondeh-ondeh at Maxwell. The stall sees a perpetual queue.
The flour is soft, and like good ondeh-ondeh the gula melaka bursts out if you're not careful.
IVIN's is okay...but they use MSG generously. You can also try Kim Choo, Blue Ginger, Novena Ville, Pan Pac Hotel Orchard and Swissotel Merchant Court. Still, you'll never get as generous a serving of buah keluak (the nuts) as you will at our family gatherings. ![]()

There's a buffet style Nyonya Cuisine opp. Bugis.. (NOT over at the Bugis Village side), the other side. Somewhere along the place where there's a lot of steamboat buffets
There's another one opposite Roxy Square. Quite famous. Michelle Chia and a little girl went there to promote the Nyonya Culture to promote the Little Nyonya Show..
nobody mentioned the famous Blue Ginger ![]()

Look for Xin Xin. It usually sells out by noon.
Subway Niche also sells kueh kueh. They have an outlet at Forum.
On a related topic - I have 2 free tickets to the Peranakan Museum if anyone's interested. You have until 14 Jan to use them.
Kim Choo's Kitchen...
109-111 east coast road...
just oppsite katong mail...
If you want to be served real sago pearls in gula melaka (and not the starchy tinned imitation as some of the Nyonya restaurants do), go to The Canteen (next to Canele along Scotts Road). It's $5.50++ with ice-cream, but worth every orgasmic spoonful. ![]()
