our favourite neighbourhood friendly spiderman goes to India. instead of Peter Parker, he will ne known as a young, Indian boy named Pavitr Prabhakar.
In the Indian version, Pavitr Prabhakar gets his crime-fighting powers from a Hindu holy man. As Spider-Man, Pavitr leaps around rickshaws and scooters in Indian streets, while swinging from monuments such as the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal.
MumbaiÂ’s (BombayÂ’s) first web-swinging Super Hero will be joined by a reinterpretation of the classic Spider-Man villain, the Green Goblin -- reinvented as a Rakshasa, an Indian mythological demon.
btw, mary jane will be known as Meera Jain in the indian version.

I'm not trying to be racist (I'm Indian, by the way), but I will still prefer the original with Peter Parker as Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson as his love interest.
I grew up idolising Spider-Man...... I dreamt of being him ever since I was like 1.2 metres tall...... Spider-Man, from what I think, is the most human of all the super-heroes. While the action sequences are fun, it is the human story that truly warms the heart. Recognising that great responsibility comes with great power, having to make personal sacrifices for the greater good..... these are lessons that all of us can learn.
The creators of the Indian version have to work really hard to do justice to this wonderful super hero. -

the spiderman india comic is published by Gotham Comics. it 100% allowed by marvel.

ummm this is BUllShit, the first pic, is a parody pic shown in MAD magazine, as "spiderman in China" if you look carefully(well, dont really have to actually) you will notice that its some kinda old chinese manner of dressing. this is plagiarism man

Haha, this must be a joke rite.... I can never imagine spidey to be black.... It is not abt colour, hope u all don't get me wrong... But i never see anything like that in comic or cartoon.

oh yuh...have a couple of their issues already....pretty ok arh..not really interested in them...just collect for collectings sake.......abit funny storyline....nothing beats the real spidey though
