  something like that happened to an ang moh i know but its the other way round
  
  was at the coffee shop at his flat
  
  he wanted to eat cai fun, but after choosing the dishes he found that he was paying the same as the person in front(a local ) but the amount was totally different , the guy in front was like having the same food but 1/3 times more
  
  and when he got his food , he wanted to buy a drink(coffee) he didn't know the uncle was suppose to serve him since the uncle always seem to ignore him, and he had to go to the stall and self service all the time
  
  all this happen till his gf (a local) started to eat with him
  and he was so stunned when the uncle came over to serve her and ask her what drinks she want that he thought she was some big F**k in the area
