What if your family don't like your GF/BF?What if they always gossip about GF/BF eg.saying she's cheap. ??
But vice versa her/his family treat you like their owen son/daughter (or in fact better than your own parents did to you) -
Dunnoe leh.. nv really experienced that. my mom said my bf look like ah beng and so did my frens but after everyone knoe him.. dey all say he's not ah beng.
But of course if his parents treat me like their own son and daughter ... i'll feel very happy of course. But i feel that parents shouldn't gossip about their son's or daughter's bf or gf. Cos looks can be decieving (just like in the case of my bf)
But if the bf/gf is really a terrible influence, they still shouldn't gossip. They should instead tell their son or daughter about their concerns. -
i know his parents don't like me. sad lah, but live with it lor
on the contrary, my mom dotes on him more than me leh!!!!
so unfair!!!

If my family don't like my GF. I will try to understand why. most probably, there is some misunderstanding. Since i know and love my GF well, i will defend her by resolving any misunderstanding that stand between them. Stick to your own principle if you think you are right and not let others including your most closed one like your family change you.
My family have to accept whatever choice that i made cos it's my life and my choice. -
it's up to u to make them know ur gf better.

i know my parents dun like my bf... past 3 years already i haven't bring my bf home...
his parents also quite skeptical of our relationship...aiyah...the same old reason lah... we too young lah... but I get along quite ok with his sisters... good lor... his parents also treat me not bad...even his aunty also not bad to me...
bo bian lor if you face objection... just keep trying lor... if u love each other, eventually things will work out fine... -
I never experience this before as my parents normally leave the decision to me.
But if this really happens, i'll still stick to my bf, cos i feel that its my happiness. But of course i will try my best not to have any conflict with my parents and try to make them accept him.

So far I notice even if my parents dislike my gf. They also wouldn't say anything, just don't talk much to her.
I woudn't do anything unless got real headache problem.

this kind of reminds me, a friend of mine jus broke up with his gf because the girl's family don;t like him. The girl propose the breakup...he's still very sad. I jus hope that he will be better and that you don;t experience this...jus a little something. bye

i find it quire stupid to break off wif gf juz because ur family dun like her.....i mean if u like each other then carry on ma....if u afraid family dun like her then dun bring her home lor....it is not as if u r bringing homw to see her in laws or something....teenage crush dun usually last 1 lah........so it is better to break after the crush disappear rather than break up due to family disapproval

Try not to make that happen....if it really happens....make it up to ur future"in-laws".
First impression very important...dun wear too skimpy for gers or too exaggerating for guys...
If u feel others treat u better than ur own parents, it's a sign u r lack of care & concern from ur family. Maybe try to tok to ur parents & noe y they treat u like that..or treat them nicer...
Or is it u always creat trouble that they dun like u?
