  The problem with many students is that they see the singapore education system as the ending point.. Not the starting point..
  
  Success in the singapore system is just the beginning, but they think once they score that A1 that is all they need to know.. They don't realise that actually there is very much more that can be learned..
  
  I think initially the top scorers are dominated by the muggers.. But as you advance to higher levels of education, the muggers will ultimately lose out to those who are truly smart..

  I know of some muggers who do very well in exams, then they get scholarships....then they get good executive jobs in the organisation which gives them these scholarships.

  The truly smart ones are the ones that knows how to plan their time well and score A1s and at the same time, play hard too. As for muggers and lazy people, they can classified under the 'what ever you want to label them' category.
